We could not yet confirm the broadcaster for this day. When we checked on 5 October, no UK TV listing for 17 October had been published, and the Ascot and Champions Day sites did not name a channel. In Ireland, Racing TV is sold as a paid channel through Virgin Media, but we have not confirmed that it carries this meeting. Check ITV Racing, Racing TV and your provider's guide in the days before, as listings can change.
bet365 says it shows UK and Irish racing to customers. This is not open to everyone: you need an account, and either money in it or a recent bet. We have not been able to confirm that Champions Day will be on bet365's schedule. Check the racing streams in your account before you deposit anything, and do not rely on a stream being there.

British Champions Day is the richest day of racing in Britain, with £4.35 million in prize money across a seven-race card and five Group 1 races. Gates open at 10.30am, the first race is at 12.55pm and the last at 4.40pm. The organisers say Qatar Racing takes over as title sponsor from QIPCO this year, so older results and articles use the earlier name.
No final fields exist yet. The early entries published on 4 August included 45 horses for the Champion Stakes, among them last year's first and second, Calandagan and Ombudsman, plus the three-year-olds Constitution River and Diamond Necklace. Aidan O'Brien's unbeaten filly is among 36 entries for the Queen Elizabeth II Stakes, and Kalpana is among 48 entries for the Fillies and Mares Stakes. Early entries are not runners: many will not turn up, and the real field is set only at the final declaration stage.
We will update this page with the race times, runners and going once the organisers publish them.
