On TV

The ATP lists Sky as the broadcaster for both Ireland and the United Kingdom for its Masters 1000 events, so the Shanghai Masters is expected on Sky Sports in both countries. The ATP also runs its own subscription service, Tennis TV, which shows matches live or on demand. Daily channels and start times are set by the broadcaster, so check the Sky Sports listings nearer the day. Shanghai is seven hours ahead of Irish and UK time until the clocks change on 25 October, so much of the play falls in the early hours here.

Live streams at licensed bookmakers

bet365 says it streams tennis to customers. This is not open to everyone: you need an account, and a funded balance or a recent bet. Which matches are shown depends on rights and can vary by country and by day, and we have not been able to confirm that any individual Shanghai match will be streamed. Check bet365's live-streaming schedule before you deposit anything, and do not rely on a stream being there.

Preview

The Shanghai Masters is a Masters 1000 event on outdoor hard courts and runs from 7 to 18 October, finishing on Sunday 18 October. The ATP says every player in the current top 50 is on the entry list, which was published in September. Entry lists change, and players can still pull out before the draw, so check the official draw before planning around a particular name.

The defending champion is Valentin Vacherot, who won in 2025 while ranked No. 204, the lowest-ranked Masters 1000 champion ever, according to the ATP. Novak Djokovic holds the record of four Shanghai titles. Neither Alexander Zverev nor Carlos Alcaraz has won the event. Jannik Sinner took the 2024 title, but he pulled out of Beijing in late September with a knee problem after a long spell off court, so his Shanghai status is worth checking in the official draw.

The draw and the first order of play are due around the start of the tournament; this page will be updated with the match schedule once they are out.
