On TV

Sky Sports holds the UK and Ireland rights to the WTA Tour under a deal that began in 2024, and it showed the 2025 Wuhan Open, so the 2026 event is expected on Sky Sports Tennis and Now in both countries. We could not confirm that from the WTA or Sky for this year, and the WTA's own where-to-watch page did not list a broadcaster when we looked. Daily channels and start times are set by the broadcaster, so check the Sky Sports listings nearer the day. Wuhan is seven hours ahead of Irish and UK time until the clocks change on 25 October, so much of the play falls in the early hours here.

Live streams at licensed bookmakers

bet365 says it streams tennis to customers. This is not open to everyone: you need an account, and a funded balance or a recent bet. Which matches are shown depends on rights and can vary by country and by day, and we have not been able to confirm that any individual Wuhan match will be streamed. Check bet365's live-streaming schedule before you deposit anything, and do not rely on a stream being there.

Preview

The Wuhan Open is a WTA 1000 event on outdoor hard courts, with a 56-player singles draw and a 28-team doubles draw. The WTA lists Aryna Sabalenka among its past singles champions. This year's event runs from Monday 12 to Sunday 18 October, straight after the China Open in Beijing.

The WTA published a preview headlined "Rybakina, Sabalenka, Pegula, Gauff headline Wuhan field" a couple of weeks ago, and a later headline on its tournament page says Elena Rybakina has withdrawn after an early exit in Beijing. Entry lists change until the draw is made, so check the official draw before planning around a particular name.

The draw and the first order of play are due around the start of the tournament; we will update this page with the match schedule once they are out.
